The Kingston Farmers Market accepts SNAP/ EBT, Fresh Connect Checks, FMNP Checks, Power of Produce (POP) bucks for kids, and Market Greens.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides nutrition benefits to increase the food budgets of eligible individuals and families to purchase healthy food and grocery items.

You can redeem your SNAP benefits at the market tent between 9AM-1PM to shop with our vendors and purchase items like fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, cheese and all dairy products, eggs, baked goods, snacks, processed foods, syrups, honey, non-alcoholic beverages, breads and cereals, whole or ground coffee beans (not brewed), herbs, and seeds and plants that produce food, such as tomato plants.

Take out whatever value you would like from your account and for every $2 processed, customers will receive an additional $2 Fresh Connect check to spend at the market. Any vendor that accepts SNAP will also accept Fresh Connect.

FreshConnect Fresh2You

Earlier this year, Governor Kathy Hochul announced a new initiative to double the buying power for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients at farmers’ markets across New York State. The FreshConnect Fresh2You initiative now provides eligible New Yorkers with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $50 per day at participating farmers’ markets, which allows families in need to purchase more healthy food, including produce, dairy, and meats.
