I created Shiso Foods to share comfort foods from Asian/Asian American communities with the Hudson Valley. Food is integral to maintaining cultural ties for diasporic communities, and for uniting those communities together. I aim to work with local farmers and producers to bring their ingredients to life in our foods. Shiso's goal is to lift up both BIPOC foodways and farmers, strengthen our area's AAPI community ties through our connected love of food, and educate the Hudson Valley on cuisine of the Chinese/Taiwanese diaspora.
