The Kingston Farmers Market was founded in 2000 by the Kingston Uptown Business Association. The original goal was to draw people to Uptown Kingston on Saturdays. Over time, we’ve evolved into more; we’re fostering a sense of community, where people come together to shop, talk and learn.
Our mission is to:
The Kingston Farmers Market is committed to maintaining diversity and equality in all levels of our organization, particularly vending opportunities and Board member positions with full participation in policy formation and decision-making. We pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages, and experiences and is inclusive of all Kingston and surrounding communities.
The Kingston Farmers Market stands with our BIPOC community members. We pledge to work to remove barriers to access to the Market for vendors, leadership and customers. We work to cultivate an anti-racist and anti-oppression culture within the Market community.

Operations Manager
Lorraine Salisbury (she/her)
Lorraine Salisbury has been the KFM Operations Manager since September 2021. Originally from Rochester, NY, she came to the Hudson Valley in 2017 to attend SUNY New Paltz. After graduating in the winter of 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geography, she worked in local kitchens and developed a familiarity with the incredible agriculture of the Hudson Valley, but also became aware of the inequities faced by local residents in accessing it. She took this job because she is passionate about community-building and equitable food access.
Find her in the red tent to answer any of your Farmers’ Market questions, or send her an email at info@kingstonfarmersmarket.org for help with anything KFM!
Food Access Coordinator
Timna Kligler (she/they)
“I’m thrilled to be joining KFM as the Interim Food Access Coordinator. I was born and raised close by in Woodstock and returned to the Hudson Valley last summer after completing an M.S. in Environmental Policy and Climate Justice. It’s been very cool to be re-rooting back in my home landscape and I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the farmers market. You’ll see me at the market entrance distributing SNAP and other currencies and I’ll also be behind the scenes as we gear up for the 2024 outdoor season scheduling with community groups, doing outreach to current and future sponsorships, and supporting the KFM Mentorship program.”
They will be in the main Market tent to engage the community through activities and offer currency exchanges for EBT/SNAP, Fresh Connect, Double Up, and $2 POP bucks for kids. She’ll also be connecting with local businesses and individuals to widen the community support of access to healthy food across ages and incomes.
