The Kingston Farmers' Market  Summer 2013

You have more choices for your summer market needs. We've got two locations!

The new Kingston Farmers' Market in Midtown will be open every Tuesday from 3-7pm starting Tuesday, May 28th. The market is located on Broadway in Kingston between Henry and Cedar Street, just steps away from UPAC. We've got an exciting line up of vendors and activity for the summer.

The Kingston Farmers' Market Uptown returns to Uptown Kingston from 9-2pm Starting Saturday, May 25th. The Market in Uptown has a new location, still on Wall Street, but now on the same block as the Old Dutch Church. 

We're looking forward to an exciting market season

Author Celebrated Author Sherri Brooks Vinton visited the market in Uptown Kingston on June 8th.

Vinton shared her story of how she fell in love with the art of preserving. Her new book, Put 'em Up! Fruit, available from Storey Publishing, expresses that passion with 80 recipes for preserving fruit and 80 creative ways to cook with those preserves.And with step-by-step instructions for the techniques you'll need to make the most of your harvest, this guide will bring a little bit of summer sunshine into your cooking, any time of year.

Midtown Farmers Market


The Kingston Farmers' Midtown Market is located between Henry Street and the Ulster Performing Arts Center. Shop the Midtown Market's farm-to-table vendors. The Kingston Farmers' Market has been chosen as a destination in the article,
"30 Great Last-Minute Summer Road Trips," featured on page 17 in the August issue of AAA's Car & Travel Magazine. See the article.

For our inaugural post we introduced Tamar Adler and her book Everlasting Meal. Check out the first chapter of the book and the accompanying video below. Tamar appeared at the Market on Saturday, June 30th and did a cooking demonstration and talked a bit about her new book. 

EVENTS

Uptown Market: June 22nd

Shop the over 30 vendors offering flavorful fares to delight all of your senses. The Market continues every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., rain or shine, through November 16th. Located on Wall Street in the Historic Stockade District of Uptown Kingston, this weekly event has plenty of free parking and is close to the New York State Thruway at Exit 19.

Midtown Market: June 18th

The Kingston Farmers’ Midtown Market is at its Broadway location today at the intersection of Henry Street. Buy fresh & local from the vendors providing farm-to-table food for you. Shop the Midtown Market’s farm-to-table vendors: Block Factory Tamales, Bob Hamley’s Barrel Pickle’s, Fitzgerald Farms for your fresh chicken and eggs, Migliorelli’s Farm for fresh fruits & vegetables, Wright’s Farm for more fresh fruits & baked goods, plus join the South Pine Street Farm and the Queens Galley for produce & cooking demonstrations. The Market will continue, rain or shine, every Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. through September 24th.
